On April 10th the Polish President and 95 people, of which 88 were the members of the delegation, were killed in an air crash in the region of Smolensk. On board the plane was the President of the country with his wife and high ranking officials all of whom died.

 

On April 11th MIAK representatives visited the Polish Embassy, which was in mourning with the Polish national flag at half mast. The picture of the President and his wife were placed by the Polish flag lit with candles. MIAK members paid their tribute to the memory of the victims by placing flowers near the pictures and giving a letter of condolence to the Embassy.
