Being a liberal party MIAK believes that this event can be viewed as a significant achievement, which will play a decisive role in the process of the development of the Armenian financial market and ensure the continuous general economic growth of Armenia.   

MIAK believes that the OMX Group’s presence in Armenia as an infrastructure unit is important due to the following factors:

• Being stock exchange operators in Scandinavian and Baltic states, upon entering Armenia OMX Group will provide for building capacities in technological, legislative, infrastructure, and professional fields of the Armenian equity market, which is now in an embryonic stage of its development.
  
  
• After creating a general platform with the financial markets of the above-mentioned countries,  Armenian companies will enjoy increased opportunities to receive funding through equity market, which will set a serious precondition for the development of the non-banking segment of the Armenian financial sector. 
  
  
• The presence of a significant organisation such as the OMX Group as an infrastructure unit in Armenia will greatly improve the international image of the Armenian financial market and create important conditions for the international financial structures to implement activities in Armenia.   

MIAK is positive that this is  an important component for the development of the financial sector non-banking strategy. This event will have a positive impact on the future development of insurance, pension, and investment systems in Armenia.   

The United Liberal National Party congratulates the representatives of the Central Bank, by fully realizing that it is due to their work that the Armenian financial market encountered this important development.
