We are ardent advocates of Armenian modernization andthe further strengthening of our statehood. This together with a high degree ofimportance on promoting peace and stability in the region and  supporting the idea of regulating relationswith our neighboring countries we announce our unreserved  support to theproactive and bold external politics conducted by Serzh Sargsyan. Expresslywelcoming the pre-signing of the Armenian-Turkish protocols on establishing civilizedinterstate relations in a reasonable time frame and without any preconditionsas announced on August 31^st 2009.

The regulation of Armenia-Turkey relations has notyet entered into its final stage. Therefore it will require great efforts onbehalf of the two peoples and societies, as well as political forces and civilsociety institutions   to ensurecivilized regulation of relations and future development through responsibleand well thought-out steps.

The United Liberal National Party is confident, thatthe President of Armenia is guided solely by our national and state interestsin the policy he pursues and in all steps that he will take and has alreadytaken. 

The United Liberal National Party expresses itsreadiness to contribute all of its endeavors and potential to activelyparticipate in the process of implementing the political steps initiated by thePresident aimed at normalizing relations between Armenia and Turkey togetherwith establishing diplomatic relations, opening the borders and creatingdialogue between the two nations.
