For the first time in Armenia a project in the spirit of a ONE MAN COMEDY, called the "Ayo" show has been developed.
The style of the project requires the presence of only one actor on stage, who will cover topics in various styles.
The event was organized on May 28th in the "Moscow House" with MIAK member Levon Beglaryan being the sole actor on stage.
The "Ayo" show is a TV comedy performance with a variety of acts and
previously filmed clips presented on the stage.
Being a master of intellectual humour, Levon Beglaryan spent more than
two hours on the stage presenting various characters and creating
laughter and smiles from the audience.
The idea of the show is to raise the spirits of
Armenians and make the everyday routine a little happier.
The ONE MAN COMEDY style was created at the beginning of the 20th
century and enacted by many world celebrities including Charlie
Chaplin, Leonid Yengibaryan, Arkadi Raikin, Mikhail Zhvanetsky, Andy
Kaufman, Jim Carry, Eddie Murphy and many other famous comedians.
Now the TV version of the "Ayo" show is being
developed and negotiations are being conducted with a number of TV
channels for air time.
We wish success to this project and the working group that turns it into reality.
